Raygun just cannot get enough of the limelight and now she’s been spotted performing again – this time at the Olympic Village.
The 36-year-old Australian shot to internet fame after all three of her routines in the breaking event scored zero points.
One performance in particular went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons, including her iconic kangaroo hop.
Olympic chiefs have already scrapped breaking for Los Angeles 2028 after its debut in Paris.
But Rachael Gunn, who is better known by her stage name Raygun, was quick to hit back at a barrage of online comments by trolls who criticised her dancing style.
And it appears she’s not been too disheartened by her naysayers after she was filmed putting on a show in the Olympic Village on the way to the closing ceremony last night.
The b-girl took off her bag and handed it over to someone before busting our some of her best moves as fellow athletes, who have rallied around her, cheered on loudly.
As she ended her 30-second cameo, she gave a high-five to people watching on in the French capital.
Unsurprisingly, her latest show has been met with yet more vitriol, including by one user who shared the video on X and said: ‘Now why was this better than her actual routine that she used to literally compete in the Olympics.’
Others disagreed and one brutal comment read: ‘It was still worth zero points.’
Despite the backlash, Raygun has stood strong and received widespread support from the Olympic community, as well as legends like Sir Chris Hoy who defended the ‘fantastic’ breakdancing event.
Raygun wrote on Instagram: ‘Don’t be afraid to be different, go out there and represent yourself.
‘You never know where that’s gonna take you.’
She also questioned the decision to remove breaking from the Olympics in the US in four years time.
‘It was disappointing it was decided that it wouldn’t be in LA, particularly before we even had a chance to show it,’ Raygun said.
‘That was possibly a little premature. I wonder if they’re kicking themselves now?
‘What is an Olympic sport? What are the similarities between dressage and artistic swimming and the 100m sprint and the pentathlon?
‘Breaking is clearly athletic, it clearly requires a whole level of dedication across a number of different aspects. It’s really bringing a new level of excitement.’
