Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins could play for a ‘bigger club’ in the Premier League such as Manchester United or Liverpool.
That’s according to former Villa assistant manager Roy Keane, who says the England forward is having an ‘amazing’ season for the club.
Watkins has scored 16 goals in 27 Premier League appearances this season and is widely expected to be included in England’s European Championships squad.
But it’s not just the goals that have helped Watkins impress this season, with the striker providing ten assists in the Premier League as his all-round game has improved.
And Keane believes that Watkins, who signed a new deal earlier this year, could play for one of the ‘top’ teams in the division.
‘He could play for one of the top teams, couldn’t he?’ Keane said on Sky Sports.
‘Villa are a top team but you’re talking about bigger clubs in Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City.
‘That’s a compliment to him, not that he has to leave Villa. But he’s capable of doing it.
‘The kid is so sharp, he has a great shape to him, His movement is as good as any striker in the Premier League. He’s having an amazing season.’
