There was hope that the forward would be involved against Arsenal on Sunday but he did not make he squad, with Bruno Fernandes also missing out.
Erik ten Hag said on Sunday: āThe last days we trained with Rashy but he didnāt make it yesterday, Bruno trained for two days but he was not far enough to recover from his injury to get back into the team.ā
The Manchester Evening News reports that Rashford has been suffering with both bruised ribs and a bruised heel during his spell on the sidelines.
The England man has missed a win over Sheffield United, a draw with Burnley and defeats to Crystal Palace and Arsenal but could still return when Manchester United host Newcastle on Wednesday night, but more likely on the final game of the season at Brighton.
After the 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday, Manchester United stay eighth in the Premier League table with two games to play, however they are just three points behind sixth-placed Newcastle so could still catch the Magpies.
Rashford is still hoping to make Gareth Southgateās England squad for Euro 2024 this summer but there is no guarantee he will do so given the immense competition for places among forwards.
Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Jarrod Bowen, Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Anthony Gordon are all in contention for the places behind Harry Kane, with Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney battling to be the captainās back-up at centre-forward.
Rashford has scored just seven Premier League goals this season and with injury issues on top of struggles to find his best form, he may miss out on the trip to Germany.
