Jose Mourinho wants Fenerbahce to raid his former club Manchester United for Victor Lindelof and Casemiro this summer.
Almost the entire United squad has been put up for sale this summer with youngsters Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho thought to be the only players off-limits.
Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane have already left the club following the end of their contracts and with their summer transfer budget reportedly set at a modest £35million, the club are eager to bolster that figure through player sales.
Lindelof is also among those who could be sold with reports in Turkey claiming Fenerbahce are now deep in talks to sign the Sweden international.
SporX report Fenerbahçe’s sporting director Mario Branco is now working hard to bring in players ‘in line with Mourinho’s demands’ with the head coach eager to be reunited with Lindelof, who he signed for United from Benfica for £30million in 2017.
The report states Fenerbahce want to agree a deal worth less than €10m (£8.5m). Lindelof’s contract at United expires next July, meaning this summer is their last chance to cash in.
Fenerbahce has also enquired into a deal for Casemiro, another star who is expected to be moved on this summer.
The report states Branco has asked United for their asking price and if that fee is within their reach, they will pursue a deal to bring the Brazil international to Turkey.
Saudi Pro League sides are also interested in signing the former Real Madrid star but those clubs have so have been discouraged by United’s £30m asking price.
United paid £70m to sign Casemiro from Real in August 2022 with the midfielder enjoying a superb first season in the Premier League.
During the 2023-24 season however, the 32-year-old struggled with United now looking to sign a long-term replacement.
Another Turkish giant are reportedly in talks to sign one of United’s players with Galatasaray eager to bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Like Lindelof, the right-back has just one year left on his contract with beIN Sport Turkey reporting the club are close to agreeing a fee with United for the player.
