A former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Tuesday, appeared at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja for the hearing of his bail application, along with his co-defendants.
The proceedings were held before Justice Maryanne Anenih at the Maitama court.
Bello, who has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission since his arraignment on November 27, was brought to the court under heavy security.
The EFCC had previously declared him wanted over allegations of money laundering.
Justice Anenih is expected to rule on the bail applications for Bello and his co-defendants, Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu.
They are facing a 16-count charge filed by the EFCC on behalf of the Federal Government under case number FCT/HC/CR/778/24. The charges include allegations of a criminal breach of trust involving N110,446,470,089.
