A boxer on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard was slammed for performing an ’embarrassing’ sexual gesture on his opponent during the fight.
Audible gasps were heard inside the AT&T Stadium in Texas when Neeraj Goyat, 33, dry-humped Whindersson Nunes after forcing his opponent into the corner.
Goyat, clearly at a superior level than YouTuber-turned-boxer Nunes, had been showboating throughout the bout but shocked fans with his gesture in the third round.
The referee spoke to Goyat ahead of the fourth round and the 33-year-old Indian then cleaned up his act, though there was more showboating to come.
‘Nah what Neeraj Goyat did was so unnecessary,’ one user on X wrote, while another said: ‘Goyat playing a damn fool on the global stage. Embarrassing.’
Combat writer Talen Guzman, meanwhile, added: ‘Hard to believe Neeraj Goyat has been angling hard for a fight with Jake Paul. He’s asking for it in India, no less.
‘Failed to show up in shape and looked messy tonight. A performance like this won’t get him a fight anywhere near that magnitude.’
Not everyone was opposed to Goyat’s antics, however, with one supportive fan posting: ‘He is a character man. He is humiliating his opponent. Not sure on the boxing part but he definitely got entertainment skills.’
Goyat is the No. 1 boxer in India with 18 wins from 24 fights but failed to stop Nunes, known as Lil Whind, during the six-round bout.
He did, however, earn a comfortable and unanimous win on points against Nunez, who was handed his second consecutive defeat.
Goyat also caught the attention during the weigh-ins on Thursday night as he pretended to tickle Nunes as the pair went face-to-face.
The welterweight has repeatedly called out Jake Paul, hoping to face The Problem Child in his native India.
Nunes, meanwhile, once had the most subscribed YouTube channel in Brazil. He remains in the top-60 worldwide with 44 millions subscribers.
The Goyat vs Nunes fight featured on the undercard of the controversial Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, shown live on streaming giant Netflix.
